“she is the queen of the damned, and the damned can’t live without her.”
- anne rice, queen of the damned
This replica of Aaliyah’s costume in the 2003 film Queen of the Damned was a commission from a friend. The entire costume was assembled from resin casts of hand-sculpted polymer clay decor, faux polymer clay abalone, wire, polysatin, and foam. The full work took three weeks to assemble.

All costumes are hand-restored real vintage aside from specific replica pieces.
Release date TBA.
l’incoronazione di poppea
Makeup looks for the New England Conservatory’s Spring 2025 production of Monteverdi’s opera, executed by me, designed by Rachel Padula-Shufelt.
misc. commissions
A replica of the famous Madame X dress as pictured in John Singer Sargeant’s portrait of an anonymous sitter, and a hand-appliqued skirt.
the rocky horror show
Middlesex Community College’s 2022 production was my second experience costuming and makeup directing a full show, featuring dozens of bespoke costume pieces, a full slate of makeup looks each performance, and time to get myself into costume to meet my cues as dance captain.
I also painted the set and props for this production, including this trompe l’oeil car!

the new albion radio hour
In 2024, I assisted with a student-directed collegiate debut of a deiselpunk musical. A fun opportunity to work with some new actors and artists on a costume plot where every bespoke item — including WW1 cyborg supersoldier John O’Brien — was made of 100% recycled material.
“foreclosure”
boston 48 hour film project - 2023
This film was written, designed, shot, and edited in 48 hours, based on the prompts “medical”, “thriller”, and including the required prop (a pizza box), character (a tattoo artist named alexander green), and the line of dialogue “she’ll never know”.
This was my first opportunity to act as costume and makeup director for a film project. It was incredibly fun to work with so little overhead, and to scrounge together SFX makeup with no notice or budget.
a midsummer night’s dream
My very first costuming project, in 2022 I was costume director for Middlesex Community College’s production of Shakespeare’s romantic classic.
“a rustle of wings”
My directorial debut in Middlesex’s short play festival in 2019, as well an early costuming venture — Linda Eisenstein’s 10 minute play about a woman’s mysterious encounter with an angel at a bar.
she kills monsters: virtual realms
Another early costuming venture; adventurers in Middlesex’s 2020 socially distanced and live greenscreen production of Qui Nguyen’s beloved Dungeons and Dragons play.
